Weekly Menu
When making this menu, I wanted some new, spring-ish ideas for dinner meals. Finding or thinking of new paleo ideas is more difficult than normal recipes, but I came up with a few.
Notes:
- Sweet potatoes are a great price at Aldi: 3 lbs. for 99 cents.
- I need to make some more homemade Italian/Greek dressing. And perhaps some ranch for the buffalo chicken salad.
- FYI, for coleslaw, we just use shredded cabbage with the above salad dressing, and a little bit of real sour cream mixed in if we want it creamy.
- Satuday's supper to finish off last week was BBQ beef & coleslaw.
breakfasts:
eggs & sausage
banana bread
smoothies
lunches:
espinaca dip (gluten-free, non-paleo experiment) and organic corn chips (Sunday treat)
chicken, olive, mozzarella, tomato skewers
egg or tuna salad and crunchy primal crackers
celery & almond butter
apples, pears, strawberries
dinners:
nitrate-free hot dogs, coleslaw, & sweet potatoes
buffalo chicken salad (modified: used this sauce, no bleu cheese) x2
grilled marinated chicken & pineapple skewers (paleo-fy this recipe), sweet potatoes x2
meatza, green beans
salmon burgers & sweet potatoes
dessert:
primal fudge
Check out some more gluten-free recipes, including some paleo ones, at Musings of a Housewife.
Have a great week!
